A family owned business started in 1895 by a serial entrepreneur who you could say just stumbled into the business and then it exploded. After stints in the lumber, radio and sporting goods industries, H. E. Schneitter fell upon something that would change the face of fireworks. He opened the original Schneitter Fireworks warehouse in historic downtown St. Joseph, dedicating everything he had to the business before his death in 1965. Ever since the moment he brought fireworks to public eye, the family business has blossomed into a full blown enterprise. Now generations later, family is the key goal for the business, as employees and customers alike bring the Schneitter's family full circle.
